Devsigner
Try the shape before code.
Local proof of concept
Try the shape before code.
Devsigner turns a rendered page into a reversible, layered experiment. Move an element, change the typography or try a different arrangement, then compare it with the untouched original.
A place to try the idea
The tool grew out of DevNotes while I was working on this portfolio. Marking a problem was useful, but sometimes I wanted to move the thing and see what happened before explaining the change.
That became a separate instrument: an editable snapshot of one viewport, with meaningful page elements kept as individual layers.
Original and experiment
The local proof supports selection, movement, resizing, alignment guides, typography and copy editing. Undo, redo and per-layer revert make the experiment reversible. Original and Experiment views keep the comparison close.
Reset returns the experiment to its starting point. Exit leaves the source page intact. The current proof does not save experiments across reloads.
From an idea to a change
DevNotes helps me observe and communicate. Devsigner helps me manipulate and discover. The next step is a clear handoff of an accepted arrangement to a coding agent, followed by verification that it landed.
That handoff is a direction for the product. Automatic source-code editing is outside the current proof.
